This “playshop” is designed to increase physical awareness, authenticity and a sense of freedom. You will experience a powerful state of ease and creativity and tap into your natural sense of humor, bringing greater awareness - on-stage and off.
These workshops are for you if you:
- Get stuck “in your thoughts or self judgments”
- Would like to get more in touch with what is uniquely funny and fun about YOU.
- Want more ease in performance (and life) or to connect more with the audience
Red nose work draws from many mask and theater traditions. Under Liz’s gentle guidance we discover and glory in what is inherently stupid about each of us. We explore how the idiotic qualities we struggle to keep hidden from others are actually gateways to hysterically funny, profound and sublimely simple work.
Be prepared to deepen your emotional expressiveness. You will laugh, but may also be moved to tears. Technique, tears and laughter combine to nurture the first days of play in the lives of each clown.
Liz has nigh super-natural powers of listening...I've had breakthroughs in her workshops that have completely expanded my expressive ability both as an artist and as a person.
-- Peter Sweet, International Circus and Theater Artist
I had so much fun!! such a tender work, so real, so vulnerable and so sublime! Liz is brilliant. She is gentle and strong at the same time. I highly recommend this if you want to take your stupidity to the most real level.
